I'm Mekel!
I never thought grief and loss would become my niche, but life had other plans. I've been on my own grief journey since 2012 and have experienced three major losses throughout the past 10 years. Yikes! So you'll not only have access to my professional knowledge as a licensed psychologist and certified advanced grief counseling specialist – including evidence-based research, but also my personal story.
My own physical health journey as a grieving heart transformed into a mission to help others experience their own quality health outcomes. Over the last decade, I’ve offered grief training to individuals and organizations, in addition to speaking on stages around the world … all with the aim of spreading knowledge and inspiring others who grieve.

Is this a therapy/counseling group?
Short answer, no. Cortisol, Coping, & Conversation is a 4-week gathering of grieving hearts specifically curated as a space to learn and grow alongside one another. This experience will be educational in nature, not a substitute for therapy/counseling. Of course, you're welcome to receive any professional support you may need apart from the gathering.
will i experience improved health outcomes during and beyond the 4-week gathering?
I'd love to say yes; however, I cannot guarantee how you'll experience the gathering. Each person's grief journey is unique. My hope is that you'll be able to apply tools learned throughout the gathering at the conclusion of each session. The most important thing to focus on is learning and applying what's shared in the way that makes the most sense for you. Finally, you should always consult your medical provider first for specific health-related information and recommendations.

Great question! This 4-week gathering is helpful for those navigating all types of grief and loss, stress, and/or burnout.
How many people will be attending?
A maximum of 12 attendees. This will allow for an intimate gathering for grieving hearts as we work through each of the C3 modules.
what happens if i want a refund?
Please know that upon your participation in the Cortisol, Coping, & Conversation virtual gathering, refunds will not be available. This is due, in part, to your gaining access to my C3 modules. In addition, the tools shared throughout the gathering will likely be helpful moving forward, even if you don't experience benefits right away.
If you make a purchase and request a refund at least 24 hours prior to the gathering start time – 6:00pm, CST on Thursday, 9/26/2024, however, I will refund the full amount paid.
